Peg Truax, MA, LPCC

Peg has had a lifelong interest in psychology: listening to and helping others. She has a BS from the University of Wisconsin and an MA in counseling psychology from Bethel University. In her practice, she incorporates a lifetime of experience with her academic studies and has developed an approach that reflects both the science and art of counseling.

She has a special interest in helping individuals with relationship problems. She believes that foundationally, good boundaries are key to good mental health. And she also believes that relationships can be supported and often be repaired by improved communication strategies. These include respectful and reverent messages that build on the emotional relationship that may already exist.

Peg has traveled around the world, and has an openness to cultures other than her own. She has an understanding that each individual has a unique spin on life, and honors that in her work with them. She has a special interest in working with adults facing persistent mental wellness problems, as well as helping people through immediate life transition, and she does this with passion, humor and genuine care.
